What We Believe
At Cairo Church of Christ, we ground our core beliefs in Jesus and in His message found in scripture inspired by God, without opinions or religious traditions.
We ground our beliefs on the Bible and believe the bible to be the inspired Word of God.
2 Timothy 3:16
We worship the God revealed in the Bible. Father, Son and Holy Spirit
Jesus, the Son of God, lived in complete obedience to God the Father and offered up His life to pay the price for the sins of all people.
Luke 19:10, Acts 4:12
We are saved by the grace of God and there is nothing we can do to earn our salvation. Forgiveness and the promise of eternal life are available to all who receive Christ as Savior and Lord, believing in His name. Those willing to receive Christ must repent of sin, confess their faith and be baptized into him for forgiveness of their sins.
Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16, John 3:16, Galatians 3:27, Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-16 and John 3:3-5
The Holy Spirit lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation and provides the Christian with understanding of spiritual truth, strength and guidance in doing what pleases God.
Acts 2:38, Ephesians 1:13-14
Jesus established the Church so that His people might worship together, spread His message of hope through word and deed, and encourage each other to persevere in their faith.
Matthew 16:18, Ephesians 4:1-16
Every person is destined to experience death, a resurrection from death, and divine judgment.
